 Product Description

For Collectors!  A pair of new replacement 3-1/2 x 5/8 Vise Jaws with the original straight serrations.  This pattern is only found in the first generation production vises made in Chicago from 1941-1945.  They were discontinued once the 30 degree angled serrations became available.

The A-2 Tool Steel is Heat Treated to 54-56 Rockwell. The colorful pattern on the serrated jaws happens during the Heat Treating process when nitrogen is used. After Heat Treating, these jaws are surface ground flat and then squared.

I slotted the # 10 counterbored holes by 1/32 to allow for sideways adjustment at installation.

Supplied with (4) 10:32 Socket Head Cap Screws.

Center hole on back side is a 1/4 clearance hole for the pin if it is stuck in the vise.

These are Premium Handcrafted Jaws. Many imports use powdered metal that gets injected into a mold to save time. I have seen many of those break at the screw holes. My jaws should be the last you ever buy.

Made in the USA.
